EYEHEARTZOMBIES

About Me

You know, I really don’t like writing about myself. At least not in this manner. This “explain who you are” crap. But I guess I’ll try, since you have no reason to read my site without knowing a little bit about me.

My name is Kenneth Love, I’m a freelance web designer currently living in Nevada. I used to live in Oklahoma, where I grew up, but after moving away for college and getting married, I ended up in Arkansas. It was actually pretty nice, living up in the mountains and all. Then, in March 2007, I became an Interactive Developer for SK+G Advertising in Las Vegas, NV, so we moved.

2006 saw the birth of our first child, and we’ve become complete hippies in raising him. You can find out more about that at our family site. We also have an Italian Greyhound and a fluffy orange tabby.

I’m something of a media whore. I watch a lot of movies, read a lot of books, listen to a lot of music. I read even more web sites than I do books, with something like 60 subscriptions in my RSS aggregator, which seems to grow weekly. In books I usually go for horror or suspense novels. I like just about anything in movies, so long as it’s well-done. Music is my pickiest. Mostly I listen to punk and hardcore, but I like some emo, indie, and other types, notably blues, jazz, folk, and old country.

As far as my work is concerned, I do my best to follow open standards such as XHTML and CSS. I used to know my way around PHP but I’ve forgotten a lot of it. I also do the prerequisite Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign/QuarkXPress work. I’m not a big fan of Flash, just because it’s so overused. I’ve forgotten almost everything I ever knew about it, even. Most of my time now is invested in Ruby on Rails development. I’m the developer of Webpen which I’m working on to help fellow NaNoWriMo writers and others who need help organizing things.

Anyway, that mostly sums me up. The rest you can get from reading the site.
