This weekend was pretty nice. We went to Ardmore to see my parents and the remaining puppies. There are three left; all girls. They have very distinct personalities, too. The biggest one (the one we liked the best) is kind of easy-go-lucky and very passive. The medium one is very slick-haired like her mother and she is always off to herself investigating something. The third one, the smallest, is really aggressive. We’re still unsure if we’re going to take one of them or not, but it’s looking more and more like not. We’re just not really ready for another puppy yet and we’re not confident that these will work out very well with Finnegan and Poly. We’d hate to take one of these puppies, have it not adapt to our lifestyle and constantly fight with the other animals. So we think we’ll wait until we can afford to buy another pure-bred dog so we’ll pretty much know exactly how it’ll act and behave.
Well, this weekend saw a few additions to my collections. I picked up copies of Spirited Away and Big Fish while we were in Ardmore and when we got back, Tenchu: Return From Darkness was waiting for me in the mailbox. Also, earlier in the week, a late birthday present from John (not his fault. damn special orders!) finally came. It’s the Bomb the Twist EP (only has 6 songs, so, in my book, it’s an EP) by the 5.6.7.8’s. They’re the band playing in the club in Kill Bill vol. 1. Great, great band. Elaine and I have been listening to them at least once a day since they arrived. I also downloaded a new torrent of theirs, the album Teenage Mojo Workout, from punktorrents (you need to get this, John).
Speaking of music, I also downloaded another album by Funeral For a Friend and some other stuff that I can’t think of right now. I have some downloads going right now, too, that I hope finish and are as good as they seem to be. BitTorrent is evil!
Finished reading The Exorcist the other day and I’m going to start on The Godfather soon.
Also this weekend, Elaine finished my birthday cake, which she’s supposed to put up pictures of soon. I’ll be sure and link to ‘em when she gets ‘em up. It’s an awesome and tooth-rottening cake. A pound and a half of chocolate! Oh my!
zup d00d, finally got online access in FLA. My uncle was having some problems with his cable modem, and after they were fixed, I started having problems with getting to our sites (coulda been that they were just down last night).
Anyways, gonna post something tonight, so stay tuned.
