I’m trying to make a habit of this
April 17
I really am. I want to write more so this site’ll stay fresher and I’ll be more…I dunno…right-minded (or would that be write-minded?) Well, in any case, on with the show.
Not much has happened since yesterday. We had an OK day of work then went down to Elaine’s mom’s house to pick up Poly (our dog). Poly was there ’cause she had her stitches taken out yesterday. The stitches were from having her spayed last week. The last thing we need/want is a bunch of litle Italian Greyhound puppies running around. One’s bad enough! When we got to Virginia’s house, Elaine and I decided to take Poly for a walk down to the lake that’s near her mom’s house. Didn’t seem like a bad idea at the time. Just for that I’m completely out of shape. I mean, I’m not fat or anything, I’m too thin, really, but I’m not in good physical shape. I’m a designer! Come on! I’m not supposed to do anything strenous or energetic. That’s why I’m a designer! I like sitting on my butt all day. Anyway, the walk nearly killed me. I’m not one to complain, but I don’t think I could have made it another quarter mile. By the time we got back, my legs were shaking anytime they weren’t moving. Walking, I was fine. Go to sit down, no. So I just collapsed on the couch until they convinced me to go get something to eat.
Dinner was pretty nice. Went to a local BBQ restaurant and, since we do advertising for him in our paper, got a nice discount on dinner. MMM. Ribs. Anyway, once we were full of smoked animals, we went back to Virginia’s house and we decided to show her this site and the august since she hadn’t seen them yet. Bad idea. Her computer is so slow and sluggish. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it. We’re going to reformat it soon, I think, and start over. Anyway, after an hour or so of watching the dialup program and killing a few apps that didn’t need to be running (AIM, ICQ, the scanner monitor) we finally got the sites up. That was exciting, huh?
Well, once all of that was finished, we came home, crashed on the couch to watch a bit of Conan O’Brian then went to bed. And that brings us up to now.
