from the ashes…
April 16
Actually, I had an old blog entry named that. That, though, was before I was using TextPattern which is a remarkable article system. I’m impressed by it more and more as I work with it. The author was intelligent and very aware of the needs of those of us who want something that does a bit more than just post text to a web page. It’s a CMS that really helps you get the content that you want out there, out there. I dunno. I’m still just impressed by the stylesheet editing capabilities. I am in awe.
Manneth is still in development. Nothing has really been done this past week or so. Manny has been busy with school and friends and I’ve had to reinstall Linux and set up a few things (transfer a domain, set up Movable Type for the wife and other things) and so it’s just kind of been put on the back burner. Work is getting in the way as well, of course, but that’s nothing new.
Started reading a new book, Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King. It’s really good so far. Fifth in his best series of work ever, the Dark Tower series. If you haven’t read The Gunslinger, go pick it up today. Also, Elaine and I finished reading Dune and we’ve started on Ender’s Game. We hope to get back to the Dune saga as soon as we can.
Well, the print queue I was waiting on to finish has, so I’ll be off.
